Nomad & broker

The Nomad is the first appointment you will need to make when considering an Aim listing. Your Nomad will assist you in your choice of other key advisers, set the timetable for listing and oversee the admission process.

Many companies choose Nomads that act also as brokers (an ‘integrated service') to streamline communications and aid cost-effectiveness. Smith & Williamson provides an integrated service but, equally, we work with other broking houses when this is in our clients' best interests.

Having been a Nomad since 1995, we have considerable experience in bringing companies of all sizes and sectors to Aim. We try to ensure that the team you meet during the initial presentation is the team you will work with long term. We expect to be closely involved with every aspect of the listing process, and are required to be kept informed of key developments within the company after flotation.

Typically our clients have longer-term aspirations and understand that admission to Aim is just the start of life as a public company. We recognise the importance of a strong rapport between company and Nomad to ensure a successful ongoing professional relationship.
