Duties:

To help expand the financial services team in London and help take the team forward by:

  • managing the in-house tax team, providing advisory and compliance services for the firm's 70 regulated and unregulated investment funds
  • providing tax advisory and compliance services to the firm's FSA regulated businesses, including fund and product structuring
  • helping to market the Financial Services Group and winning new business
  • The substantial client base spans the investment management, broker and dealer, corporate finance and insurance sectors. Financial Services is a growing part of Smith & Williamson's tax and business services practice and currently acts for over 90 regulated businesses

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Qualified Charted Accountant ACA; Tax qualified practitioner ATII; technically able to support
  • Experience of managing people; approachable
  • Experience of complex client work; mainly creative tax planning work; marketing skills
  • Administration and management of staff
  • Tax computer literate
