Dispute resolution

To ensure that we are current with regulatory and legal changes and efficient at handling cases, we have a dedicated dispute resolution team.

The team has experience of:

  • trials
  • arbitration
  • mediation

Our approach to dispute resolution

  • innovative and flexible
  • tailored to specific requirement and the nature of the case

The process

1. Initial review to ensure that we can add value

If we conclude that we cannot add value we will inform you as soon as possible with reasons, recommendations and alternatives, where appropriate.

2. Review of case

Depending on the requirements and the availability of information, we can provide:

  • a detailed list of additional documentation/information required
  • an initial estimate of the loss
  • issues and areas of concern
  • suggested additional lines of enquiry
  • an overview of the case and initial credibility assessment

3. Written or verbal presentation and report

The form, method and timing of our reporting will be agreed with those instructing us. However, our approach is flexible and can be adapted as the claim evolves.

We can prepare schedules and presentations for use in negotiations for settlement of claims. We can also assist with and attend meetings as necessary. All cases have their unique features that mean it is impractical to give indications of the cost of a ‘typical' forensic accounting exercise. However, we are prepared to carry out an initial review on a case before any basis for charging is agreed and will provide a fee quotation in advance.

Therefore, those who instruct us can be confident that costs will be kept under control.

We believe that it is part of our role to ensure that our costs are proportionate to the value we can add.
