Fund Administration & host management services

Through our subsidiary Smith & Williamson Fund Administration Limited we are an Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) of Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and an Authorised Manager for Unit Trusts and other collective investment schemes including Common Investment Schemes. We are able to act on behalf of individuals or groups wishing to set up either single funds or umbrella structures investing in a range of investments including real estate. 

We also act as a third party administrator for ACDs and Unit Trust Managers who do not have in-house administration systems and who require pricing, valuation, accounting, taxation and registration services.

Being a specialist in setting up funds for private clients we do not impose large minimum fund sizes and our current funds range from £5 million up to £300,000 million per fund. 

We offer an efficient and professional service at competitive rates tailored to the specific needs of individual clients. Fee structures are flexible depending on the complexity of the fund and the total value of funds under management.

Set up services include:

• preparation and submission of application for authorisation by relevant Authority
• preparation of scheme documentation including any instrument, trust deed and prospectus
• appointment of Depositary or Trustee
• appointment of investment adviser(s)

Ongoing services include:

• valuation and pricing of scheme
• calculation and payment of income
• maintenance of accounting and other records
• production of half yearly and annual audited accounts and reports to shareholders/ unitholders
• quarterly review of tax provisions and submission of tax computations to the Inland Revenue
• client dealing and maintenance of register
