Our services
We look after a large number of landed and urban estates. We act for Landed Estates whose combined acreage exceeds 300,000 acres (excluding Scottish Estates) as well as several of the significant London Urban Estates. We give advice on all financial aspects of running an estate, dealing with such issues as:
- ownership of land and the principal residence, involving planning for the next generation and mitigating potential inheritance tax problems
- capital gains tax
- development land
- income tax and accounts
- in-hand farms, woods, sporting, minerals and tenancies
All these issues are dealt with in the context of a family's overall long and medium term strategy. We believe it is crucial to define this strategy and set the necessary objectives in order to deliver proactive advice. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with family trusts and are able to deliver services in the context of trustees' instructions.
