Firm appoints Andrew Sykes as deputy Chairman
20th February 2008Andrew Sykes has been appointed deputy chairman to the board of Smith & Williamson Holdings, having been a non-executive director of the company since 2004.
Mr Sykes is also a non-executive director of Record plc, JP Morgan Fleming Asian Investment Trust plc and Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust, and chairman of Invista Foundation Property Trust Limited and Absolute Return Trust Limited. Previously, Mr Sykes served as a director of Schroders plc from 1998 to 2004.
Andrew Sykes replaces Lord Cobham, who became deputy chairman of Smith & Williamson in 2002 when the firm merged with NCL Securities. Lord Cobham has retired from full time employment with the group but remains as a consultant.
