New Investment Management service for Birmingham

Smith & Williamson is to open an investment management, personal financial planning and pension service in Birmingham. The new office will include over 20 financial professionals by the autumn. The firm currently has an investment team in Worcester which is led by director, Fern Hordern. She and her team will join the new Birmingham operation, whose clients will primarily include private individuals and charities.

Smith & Williamson's Birmingham-based investment management team will have the support of the firm's broader business which includes an investment management house and private bank with around £9billion funds under management.

In due course, the firm will look at broadening the Birmingham office beyond investment management and personal financial planning to include the full range of Smith & Williamson's financial advisory services which cover tax, restructuring and recovery and accountancy services to private clients, professional practices, companies and non-profit organisations.
