Forensic Services team expands with appointment of David Alexander

The firm is delighted to announce the appointment of David Alexander as a director within Forensic Services.

Based in the firm's central London and Birmingham offices, David will focus on fraud and financial investigation services working closely with Smith & Williamson's own in-house Forensic Technology specialists. His client focus will be a broad range of legal firms, corporates, and regulatory bodies.

David has 20 years of experience in forensic accounting, including roles at Ernst & Young and KPMG both in the U.K and overseas. Most recently, David ran his own forensic accounting firm based in Birmingham.

David Alexander says: "I'm delighted to join Smith & Williamson and its established Forensic Services team. The appetite for growth is high, not only in the wider firm but also in the Forensic Services team. I'm looking forward to the opportunities and challenges available in such an environment."

David joins us to lead our Fraud and Investigations team which, working closely with our Forensic Technology specialists, will take advantage of the growing opportunities in this market by providing a holistic Investigations service. David will also strengthen our Forensic Services team in the recently opened Smith & Williamson Birmingham office."

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is the UK President of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
