Assurance team grows
Sancho Simmonds recently joined Smith & Williamson, the accountancy and financial services firm, as a director in the assurance and business services department.. Sancho will focus on developing services to the corporate market, with a particular emphasis on international groups and private equity portfolio companies.
Sancho will work closely with Nexia International, Smith & Williamson's international network. One of his international projects will involve supporting the increasing amount of US/UK business done within the Nexia International network as the United States moves towards conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards. He will be based at the firm's London office.
Sancho joins Smith & Williamson following 14 years at PWC, most recently as an assurance director. Sancho has considerable experience advising a wide range of companies from start ups to FTSE 250 and has significant international/cross border assignment expertise. He also has significant experience in IFRS, having led an number of transitions for both listed and PE backed companies.
