Smith & Williamson sells Tottel Publishing Limited to Bloomsbury Publishing plc

Tottel Publishing, the publisher of books on law, tax and information services for lawyers, accountants and business professionals, has been sold to Bloomsbury Publishing plc, for £10 million.

Smith & Williamson advised the shareholders of Tottel Publishing.  Tim Moore, corporate finance director at Smith & Williamson, said: ”The sale of Tottel demonstrates that quality assets with sustainable revenues remain highly attractive even in these difficult times.”

Mike Walker of Matrix Private Equity Partners, who backed Tottel’s buy-out in 2004, added: “Tim Moore and the team at Smith & Williamson delivered an exceptionally smooth sale process and a great result for Matrix and the Tottel shareholders.”
