Stephen Drew and Philip Quigley enjoy new roles at Smith & Williamson

Stephen Drew and Philip Quigley have been appointed to Head of London Assurance and Business Services (ABS) and National Head of Transaction Services respectively. These appointments stem from Giles Murphy’s decision to focus more on the national ABS practice and to head Smith & Williamson’s Professional Practices Group.

“The economic conditions are opening opportunities for us to increase our brand awareness and market share,’ says Stephen Drew. “We look forward to meeting these new challenges and moving our business forward in an evolving marketplace.”

Giles Murphy, National Head of ABS continues, “This is a great opportunity for Stephen and Philip and it will free my time to concentrate on the strategic development of the ABS division and the professional practices sector.”

Philip, who is also head of the Quoted Companies group at Smith & Williamson, deals with a wide range of corporate clients, including: natural resources, media, technology, financial services and property sectors. He has advised a number of companies on admission to AIM and full listing, acting as reporting accountant. He has international experience, particularly in India, Hong Kong, China and the Far East, as well as the USA.

Stephen is active in the entrepreneurial sector and has extensive experience of assurance and advisory work. His client base consists of listed companies, private equity backed businesses and entrepreneurs. His clients operate in a number of sectors including natural resources, property & business services.
