International services
Many clients are non-doms or have an international dimension to their tax and financial affairs. We have a strong reputation as a leading provider of first-class services to international clients.
Who would find this service useful?
We advise individuals based all over the world.
We provide specific services to both individuals and their employers in respect of expat taxation. This also includes partners within international partnerships.
We advise trustees, directors or other representatives of entities set up to hold clients' assets. We often play a central role in co-ordinating strategies requiring the input of advisers located in different jurisdictions.
What we can offer our international clients
We offer help to protect clients' capital assets from erosion through taxation and other means, and to establish tax efficient streaming of income and capital or its accumulation, as required. We do not offer 'off the peg' solutions. All of our advice is carefully tailored to individual client needs.
Our advice to our international private clients enables them to structure their affairs as tax efficiently, flexibly and simply as possible while taking account of their own and their families' current and likely future economic and social needs.
Our membership of Nexia International provides access to professional advice and services in over 90 jurisdictions across the globe. We have also forged strong links with other leading advisers and providers of banking, company and trust services in the world's major financial centres.
Unlike many other practices, the service we provide does not stop at giving initial strategic planning advice. A fundamental part of our role - with the agreement of our clients – is overseeing the implementation of relevant strategies and following them through.
Who do we work with?
Typically, we will work with other professionals in the UK and elsewhere looking at:
- co-ordinating legal advice
- arranging trust and company formation and administration
- investment management and other third party services and/or liaising with other providers of those services
- introducing third party advisers
- managing necessary disclosures and communications with tax authorities in the UK and other jurisdictions
- monitoring legislative and other changes which could affect structures which have been set up, and advising on appropriate action
