Tony was a founding director of NCL in 1986, having joined R. Nivison & Co, a year earlier, in charge of institutional fund management. NCL later merged with Smith & Williamson at the end of 2002.

Prior to NCL he qualified as an actuary in 1975 with Colonial Mutual Life and from 1977 to 1985 was responsible for Allstate Insurance Company's UK investment operations.

Tony has extensive experience of both fixed income and equity investments and heads a team that specialises in the management of portfolios, including OEICs, for institutional clients and wealthy individuals.
