Paul is a director for the National Assurance Technical Group, with responsibilities for both technical and training matters. Although he is based in Bristol, Paul is involved in a national technical and training role and moves regularly between the London and Bristol offices. In particular he specialises in financial reporting - both UK GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards.

Paul is a well know speaker at seminars and conferences throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, and is a key speaker at many Financial Reporting seminars for Smith & Williamson.

He is author of Elsevier's UK GAAP for Business and Practice, co-author of Tottel's Financial Reporting for Smaller Companies, and co-author of Pearson's Interpreting Company Reports and Accounts, 10th Edition. For over 11 years, Paul was General Editor of Butterworth's Financial Reporting and Accounting Service.
