Jonathan is a law graduate with over 25 years experience in financial services. His career has encompassed employment within insurance companies, benefit consultancies and actuarial practices and he has wide knowledge of high net worth (HNW) financial planning, corporate pensions and Trusteeship issues.

Jonathan has overall responsibility for the pension related activities of Smith & Williamson Trust Corporation, together with a mixed portfolio of corporate pension arrangements, individual consultancy projects and provides expertise in international pension planning. Additionally, Jonathan has professional Trustee and Consultancy involvement with Smith & Williamson’s stable of Small Self Administered Schemes (SSASs).

Jonathan joined Smith & Williamson in 1993 from Whiteford & Foden / WF company, consulting actuaries and SSAS administrators.
