David Jones qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Whinney and then worked in the corporate finance department of Baring Brothers in London and New York.

He gained further corporate finance and venture capital experience with GdeZ Capital in London before joining Smith & Williamson in 2001 where he specialises in Aim flotations and quoted company mergers & acquisitions.
