Mike is the managing partner of the Bristol office with overall responsibility for just under 250 staff. He is also lead partner of the firm's Corporate Enterprise Group which handles all the audit, corporate tax, PAYE and VAT work that the firm carries out.

Mike's area of expertise is corporate and international tax and his client base covers a wide range of industries including financial services, aerospace, facilities management, builders merchants and the media and entertainment sectors.

Mike speaks annually at our Budget breakfast presentations and is a member of a number of professional bodies and committees including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the finance committee of Business West.

Mike qualified as a chartered accountant in 1987 and worked in for nine years in the corporate tax department of KPMG before joining Smith & Williamson in 1996.
