Philip is the lead corporate finance director and senior director in Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance. Over the past 20 years, Philip has applied his pro-active approach and creativity to over 400 transactions and is largely responsible for the national recognition which the firm’s corporate finance activity now enjoys.

He qualified in 1980, set up his own audit, tax and corporate finance practice in 1983, quickly demonstrating his energy, enthusiasm and ambition. Philip merged his practice with Solomon Hare and established Solomon Hare Corporate Finance in 1989. He became the senior partner at that time and since then has led the firm’s successful growth strategy.

In May 2005, the merger of Solomon Hare and Smith & Williamson took place, and in April 2007 the corporate finance team became Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance Limited.
