Howard is senior tax director in Smith & Williamson's Salisbury office and has over 25 years specialist tax experience both in the corporate and personal sector. He has been with Smith & Williamson and its predecessor since joining from a Big 5 firm in London in 1981. His current clients cover a wide range of businesses including a number of complex groups.

He has extensive experience in advising on a wide range of taxation issues, including corporate restructuring, VAT and stamp duty land tax.

He provides technical support to his fellow directors as well as dealing with a wide range of clients including SMEs, MBOs, professional partnerships, Lloyd's underwriters and landed estates.
