Gareth Pearce

Gareth qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co in 1978. In 1981 he joined Electra Investment Trust PLC as an investment manager in their venture capital division, becoming an investment director in 1984.

He joined Smith & Williamson as head of the corporate finance department in 1986, became group managing director in 1995 and chairman in 2000. He is also chairman of Nexia International, an international network of accounting and consulting firms.
