Andrew Penman is a Director in the Private client tax services department. Having joined Smith & Williamson in 1993, Andrew specialises in advising on UK personal tax issues affecting individuals with international aspects to their tax affairs, whether through international mobility or through offshore asset holding structures.

Andrew also advises a number of UK high net worth individuals, families and trusts and advises regularly on Capital Gains Tax, particularly regarding the operation of Taper Relief.

Andrew is responsible for editing Smith & Williamson’s commentaries on the annual budget and Pre Budget reports, and is frequently quoted in the national press on a variety of tax related matters.
