Jeff is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with Smith & Williamson in 1996. His role involves litigation support and forensic assignments, as well as acting for a varied portfolio of corporate, partnership and charity clients.
Jeff ’s forensic and litigation work has included 8 years working with the recently retired CRE Bennett, current head of the Police Liaison Panel at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, with both civil and criminal cases. During this time he has had extensive practical experience of money laundering and cash and asset tracing cases. This includes asset-tracing arising out of drugs and allied criminal offences for the National Crime Squad and Assets Recovery Agency, and reports on money-laundering of drugs proceeds for the police.
On civil cases, he has worked on various aspects of claims such as loss of earnings, personal injury, matrimonial disputes, share and business valuations. Jeff ’s commercial portfolio has included clients in the following fields: IT (including software development), retail, financial services, (investment / finance arrangers) solicitors, chartered surveyors, employment agencies, property dealing and investment, charities (including independent schools), marketing and sports clubs.
