Rachel joined Smith & Williamson in 1999, and leads the people management department, providing HR and training advice and support to clients. She has 20 years experience in Human Resources Management, and specialises in employment matters, including:
- Supporting change management, including company re-structuring
- Development and implementation of effective HR strategy, policies and practices
- Advice and practical support on employee relations and employment law issues
- Specialist HR support for boards and senior management
In previous roles Rachel specialised in personnel and training as well as leading the authority through Investors in People accreditation and the introduction of NVQs.
Before joining Smith & Williamson, she was one of 2 directors of a UK management consultancy network, working at senior level with a wide range of both blue chip and SME clients in the UK and worldwide. She is an accredited MBTI practitioner, working with individuals and teams to support their development and improved effectiveness.
Her current clients include organisations from the private, public and charities sectors, and she spends most of her time giving specialist advice and support at board and management team level.
She is also a lively and informative speaker on employment and people management issues.
