John Voyez

John advises a wide range of business clients. His key area of expertise is land and property where he has attracted a high profile following. He has a commercial understanding of property transactions and also works extensively with the non-profit, education sectors, registered providers of social housing (RPs) and on cross border transactions.

John joined Smith & Williamson in 1983 to provide business tax advice, but by the mid 1980s John became more involved in VAT advisory work.

He is a member of the VAT practitioners group, which makes representations to HM Revenue & Customs on new tax legislation and is a member of the Institute of Indirect Taxation. John has published articles in the professional press and regularly speaks at VAT seminars.

John is a director in the corporate tax department.
