John Voyez

John joined Smith & Williamson in 1983 with a business tax background before moving into VAT work which he now specialises in and has over 20 years experience. John’s main VAT advisory areas are property transactions, where he has attracted a high profile following of investors and developers over the years, and cross border transactions where he regularly works with a network of advisers elsewhere in the EU that he has built up. Other areas of expertise are in the health and welfare, not for profit, and housing association sectors.

John has been a regular speaker at conferences, and was a director and branch chair of The Institute of Indirect Taxation for many years. John now represents The IIT in Brussels at meetings with the Confederation Fiscale Europeenne, a body which regularly makes representations at EC level on taxation matters.

 John is a VAT Director in the Corporate Tax department.
