Andrew has extensive experience of advising owner managed and listed businesses on all aspects of UK and international tax issues. He has been primarily focussed on the media and technology sectors.

Andrew’s areas of expertise includes inward and outward investment, mergers and acquisitions and exit planning strategies. He has assisted numerous large and multinational clients on strategies to reduce and manage their effective tax rate. In addition, Andrew advises clients on the tax implications of structured private equity investment in film and television.

He joined Smith & Williamson in August 2004, having previously spent four years as Group Head of Tax of a fast growing UK listed multi-national group. Prior to that he worked in the London corporate tax group of PricewaterhouseCoopers and the London audit group of Deloitte.

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, and is a Member of the Securities Institute. He is also a member of the firm’s Quoted Company and Media Focus Groups.
