Harriet is a graduate of Jesus College, Oxford, where she read Modern History. She began her stockbroking career in 1992 with Albert E Sharp. Since achieving her professional qualification as a Fellow of the Securities Institute in 1993, Harriet has concentrated on managing investment portfolios for private clients, trusts, charities and personal pension schemes.

She joined Smith & Williamson as a director in October 2007.
