Alex joined Albert E. Sharp in 1997, which became Gerrard and then Barclays Wealth, after graduating from Edinburgh University. His primary focus is on the management of private client portfolios on both a discretionary and advisory basis. In addition, he has considerable experience in managing SIPPs.

Alex joined Smith & Williamson in 2008 as an associate director and is a fully qualified fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute.
