Mark began his professional career in 1996, setting up an international commodity trading firm, based in Worcester, which is still successfully trading today. Having exited the business after five years, Mark moved into the financial services industry. He has been in this industry for the last ten years, specialising in both managing private clients' portfolios as well as day to day running of the local business.
Having previously been regional centre head at Gerrard Investment Management, part of Barclays Wealth, Mark joined Smith & Williamson in October 2008.
He is currently head of Smith & Williamson's Birmingham office and manages a number of client relationships working closely with other members of the investment management team.
Mark has a first class degree in business management, the Securities Institute Diploma, Financial Planning Certificates and an MBA from Birmingham University Business School.
