Mark began his professional career in 1996, setting up an international commodity trading firm, based in Worcester, which is still successfully trading today. Having exited the business after five years, Mark moved into the financial services industry. He has been in this industry for the last eight years, specialising in management alongside the running of client relationships.
Having previously been regional centre head at Gerrard Investment Management, part of Barclays Wealth, Mark joined Smith & Williamson in October 2008.
Mark is head of Smith & Williamson's Birmingham office. Additionally managing a number of client relationships, working closely with other members of the investment management team. Mark has a first class degree in business management, the Securities Institute Diploma, Financial Planning Certificates and is currently completing a part-time MBA from Birmingham University Business.
