Chris has 22 years experience at partner and director level, acting for a wide range of quoted, private and not for profit companies. He specialises in providing financial and strategic advice to our medium and larger corporate clients alongside the provision of audit services and is the senior director of our Southampton office. Recent experience includes advising on acquisitions and disposals, succession planning and group reorganisations.

His client portfolio includes companies in the IT communications, construction, manufacturing, leisure and property sectors. He is also the Salisbury and Southampton offices’ senior specialist director dealing with registered social landlords, managing the provision of external audit services and the full range of advisory and tax advice.

For six years Chris was a non-executive director of the UK Atomic Energy Authority where he chaired the audit committee. He was also a director of Bournemouth Orchestras and a director of the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He joined Smith & Williamson from Coopers & Lybrand in 1993. Chris is chairman of Nexia Smith & Williamson, the audit arm of the Smith and Williamson group.
