Aside from his role as Managing Director of the firm’s Tax and Business Services division (some 800 people in 7 locations generating £90m of business), his professional life is focussed on professional practices.
Jeremy’s portfolio of clients includes solicitors, surveyors, architects and actuarial practices, including major City firms and national and international practices. He has 20 years experience as lead adviser on clients, be they partnerships, LLPs or corporates. He deals with both compliance and ad-hoc matters, including advice on management structures, financial and management reporting, capital needs, profitability issues, alternative business structures and mergers and acquisitions; he has worked on six major mergers, including two US/UK transactions, in recent years.
Jeremy was a member of the Accounting Standards Board working party for the development of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) on accounting for Limited Liability Partnerships. He is also author of Audit and Accounts of LLP’s, published by Tottel, and a contributing author to Tolley’s Professional Practices Handbook, now in its 6th edition.
He is extensively involved in international work and is a member of the International Audit Committee for Nexia International.
