Tax efficient solutions (TES)

How TES can help – Companies

We can assist corporate clients in a number of ways – raising funds on their behalf from professional investors or other fund managers; or introducing them to our colleagues in our corporate tax department for help with tax structuring, strategy or applying to HMRC for tax clearance.

We have a particular interest in asset-backed enterprises, where a tax-qualifying trade is supported by an underlying freehold asset. Asset-backed industries in which we are active include pubs, farm shops and children's nurseries.

When contacting us, it greatly assists if you could provide us with a short executive summary of your business proposition.

Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS)

The Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) is a statutory scheme designed to assist smaller companies in raising capital. By subscribing cash for new shares in an EIS company, investors may qualify for a range of attractive tax reliefs.

Business Premises Renovation Allowance (BPRA)

Business Premises Renovation Allowance (BPRA) was introduced to incentivise individuals or companies to bring disused business premises back into use.

BPRA provides a 100% initial capital allowance for qualifying expenditure on renovation and conversion of unused commercial property within certain designated areas. The list includes areas within a number of major cities in the UK, including Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, Belfast, Liverpool and Coventry. BPRA presents an attractive opportunity for high earning individuals to potentially reduce their income tax liabilities.
